Chelsia McKie
Chelsia McKie a passionate educator, advocate, and mother of three, Chelsia brings together experience from corporate leadership, education, and mental health to create meaningful impact. She earned her B.A. in Communications from Savannah State University and later obtained a master’s in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University, serving as a classroom teacher, behavior specialist, and school leader.
Today, she consults with superintendents and principals nationwide, helping shape the future of education. She also holds a master’s in professional/pastoral counseling from Liberty University with a focus on trauma, with a mission to break stigmas and support youth both in and beyond the game.
Grounded in her belief in trusting the process, Chelsia continues to expand the dream for student-athletes across the country.

Veronica Gonzales is a strategic communications and partnership leader with more than a decade of experience helping organizations turn ambitious ideas into results. She has built and managed national initiatives across nonprofit, philanthropic, public, and corporate sectors, aligning stakeholders, shaping multi-million-dollar strategies, and designing campaigns that mobilize people and move work forward.
A systems thinker with a human-centered approach, Veronica translates big ideas into actionable strategies—leading large-scale campaigns, cross-sector partnerships, and national convenings while advising organizations on strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and building sustainable systems that deliver measurable impact.

Thailand Smith, a lifelong basketball player who learned early that the game builds more than just athletic skills. I graduated from Lees-McRae College with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Sports and Exercise Psychology at Barry University in Miami. As a former student-athlete, I’m passionate about mental wellness, leadership, and helping athletes realize their identity extends far beyond the game.

Jeff Liberty
Over a distinguished career spanning four decades, Jeff Liberty has developed extensive expertise in supporting the launch and maturation of mission-driven organizations.
After founding Boston Green Academy, Jeff joined BetterLesson in 2014, where, as the company’s 12th employee, he helped scale the organization into an internationally respected professional learning company, leading a $20M+ global partner portfolio. Since 2021, he has served as founding CEO of Good Trouble Strategic Advisors and, in January 2026, became Chief Growth Officer of the American Exchange Project, leading a national expansion of its free domestic exchange program.
Kaylan Owen
Board Member (College Rep) Kaylan Owen is a Sports Management major in the Class of 2027, currently a student at the University of Alabama and transferring to the University of Georgia in the fall. I’m passionate about the business, culture, and impact of sports, with a strong interest in leadership, fan engagement, and the sports industry.
